Agriculture Victoria: A Corio landscape gardener was recently convicted and fined $5000 in the Geelong Magistrates Court after a man was hospitalised with severe poisoning after drinking an agricultural chemical containing paraquat and diquat that had been decanted into a sports drink bottle.

DEDJTR Chemical Standards Officer Neil Harrison said the chemical had been decanted by the accused from a 20 litre drum into a sports drink bottle to simplify mixing it with water into a back pack sprayer.
