The Packer: The 10-year anniversary of the birth of the Leafy Greens Marketing Agreement will bring a chance to update the metrics [to] keep them in harmony with the Food Safety Modernization Act regulations and the latest advances in produce safety. The group was created in 2007 largely in response to the 2006 E. coli outbreak linked to spinach and has evolved to be a central feature of leafy greens marketing and an example to the rest of the produce industry.
