Timaru Herald: A large South Canterbury berry farmer claims cheap imported product and New Zealand’s food safety regulations are combining to make life difficult for the country’s growers. Butler’s Berry Farm owner Donald Butler said looser import standards which allow overseas exporters to get frozen produce into NZ for a fraction of the price were part of the problem.
