The Fresh Produce Safety Centre Australia & New Zealand (FPSC-ANZ) seeks an Expression of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified consultants for the comprehensive periodic review of its Guidelines for Fresh Produce Food Safety.

The primary aim of this review is to ensure the guidelines remain current, relevant, and effective in mitigating food safety risks across the fresh produce supply chain. This EOI outlines the objectives, scope, deliverables, timeline, budget, and qualifications required for the successful completion of the review.

The successful applicant will be Degree qualified and highly experienced with in-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements including HACCP, GFSI and Global GAP.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Technical and editorial leadership
  • Establishment of technical team in collaboration with the FPSC-ANZ CEO
  • Scoping and planning
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Writing, editing, drafting and review
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Reporting

The review process is expected to be completed within six months with initial scoping and planning to commence early July. The successful consultant would need to have immediate availability for 4-5 days per month, not evenly distributed over the project lifecycle – hence scheduling flexibility is essential.

Questions can be submitted to: ceo@fpsc-anz.com.

Applications must be submitted to ceo@fpsc-anz.com by COB, Friday 5th July 2024.
