Jane Fayad

Executive Officer

Jane Fayad joined the FPSC as Executive Officer in November 2022.

Working with HIA, Chubb Fire and Security, and Westpac Banking Group, Jane has utilised her specialist expertise in not-for-profit management, strategic development, national team leadership and stakeholder engagement. She has managed and coordinated internal change, analysed data, and evaluated risk, and enabled effective decision-making. Jane has managed and coordinated transformation, innovation, and growth projects, such as the development and implementation of new procedural, performance and training systems, tools, and Governance structures.

She has built trusted partnerships and stakeholder relationships and have represented and advocated for improvements in safety culture on panels and industry committees. Jane has proactively developed and engaged in new initiatives that work to improve service delivery, develop policy, and drive growth.

Fasih Syed

Communications and Events Officer

Fasih Syed has joined FPSC as its new in-house Events Organiser as of May 2021. He is responsible for delivering the annual Fresh Produce Safety Conference and other FPSC events. His skills centre on event management, program delivery & innovative project management having delivered the Biennale of Sydney volunteer program hosting hundreds of volunteers to support one of the largest arts exhibition in the world.

Over the last 5+ years, Fasih has delivered event projects, as an Events Manager, for some of Australia’s leading organisations. He has experience in industry-first events such as the L’Etape Australia by Le Tour de France event, building programs for Healius Medical centres one of the largest healthcare providers and providing event engagement solutions for VolunteeringACT, the peak body of volunteering in Canberra. He has also supported the building of entrepreneurial ventures for the events space including a mobile travel application & a volunteering platform.
