Fresh Produce Safety – Australia & New Zealand
The University of Sydney collated research needs gathered at the Fresh Produce Safety Forum into 8 common areas. The highest priority was Improved Extension and Outreach making up 22% of the research priorities identified. The pie chart shows the breakdown of research priority areas.
The program partners are taking action to seek relevant research already conducted as well as looking to fill the knowledge gaps in the research and provide it in the next step to build a new fresh produce safety paradigm

The Center for Produce Safety (CPS)
have released the 2013 research priorities identified by review of previously funded CPS grants and research outcomes, feedback from participants at CPS research meetings, and through discussions with industry stakeholders.
